Ruben Dewiele is a lawyer specializing in complex commercial cases, contract law, transport law and maritime law.

Ruben's legal journey began at the KU Leuven, where he obtained a Master's degree in law (cum laude). His masters dissertation on maritime terrorism was shortlisted for the CPS dissertation prize. Ruben further expanded his expertise by pursuing an LL.M. ininternational commercial and maritime law at Swansea University in Wales(distinction), gaining specialized knowledge in global commerce and maritime trade.

Before joining ITL Attorneys in 2020, Ruben commenced his legal career at DLA Piper Brussels in the litigation and regulatory department.

From 2021 until 2023, Ruben worked as a teaching assistant at the Institute for Private International Lawat the KU Leuven, where he shared his knowledge with aspiring legal professionals, contributing to their development and staying connected to the academic realm.
